The Carroll County Sheriff’s Foundation is a dual-purpose organization that supports
first responders in the West Georgia area. We have created this organization by merging
the current 501 (c)(3) West Georgia First Responders into the newly established Carroll County
Sheriff’s Foundation. We are a Qualified Law Enforcement Foundation (QLEF) that will allow
you to donate a portion your state tax dollars directly to our Foundation.
Through the Law Enforcement Strategic Support (LESS) Crime Act, it will allow our organization
to utilize the donated funds to support the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with resources above
and beyond the established county budget to further strengthen our workforce with equipment,
family assistance, specialized training, recruiting and retention.
Law Enforcement Strategic Support (LESS) Crime Act:
The LESS Crime Act is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit that allows individuals to donate up to $5,000,
married couples, S-corporations, LLCs and partnerships up to $10,000, and C-Corporations up to 75%
of their state income tax bill. To obtain approval to donate to a QLEF please seek further assistance
